A collaboration with Christopher Shore in 2010 at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking yielded new expressions of several threads in my work. Two of those have just found their way into public. At the Ridgefield Guild of Artists‘ 35th Annual Juried Exhibition (Sept 22 – Oct 26, 2012), a monotype entitled Collateral Damage picks up on the concept of the burning garden. That concept developed from news photos of houses and gardens being burned as part of the ethnic cleansing taking place in Bosnia in 1992. The work on view at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan (through Oct 3, 2012) carried on my exploration of gestural and emotive drawing, which paper lithography mixed with monotype seem to facilitate so well.
